Crackleboom
Privacy Policy
Last updated 25 July 2026 · Operated by Meshcheriakov Bohdan Oleksandrovych
Who we are
Crackleboom is a random video chat service operated by Meshcheriakov Bohdan Oleksandrovych. This policy explains what we collect when you use the Crackleboom website or Android app, why we collect it, and what control you have over it. Questions go to contact@data-clerk.com.
Age requirement
Crackleboom is for adults aged 18 and over. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor is using the service, report them in-app or email us and we will remove the account.
What we collect
- Account details. If you register with a password we store your username, display name and a bcrypt hash of your password — never the password itself. If you sign in with Google we store your Google account identifier, email address, display name and profile picture URL.
- Messages. Text messages you send to contacts are stored on our servers so they can be delivered and shown in your history.
- Contacts and activity. Who you have connected with, when calls happened, and whether you are currently online and available to be matched.
- Reports and blocks. When you report or block someone we record who reported whom, the reason you picked, and the call it happened in, so we can act on it.
- Push notification token. The Android app registers a Firebase Cloud Messaging token so we can ring your device for incoming calls.
- Technical logs. Our servers record IP address, timestamps and error information for security and debugging.
Video and audio calls
Live video and audio are relayed in real time through our own media servers so calls work behind firewalls. We do not record, store or review the video or audio of your calls. Media exists only for the duration of the call. Because calls are not recorded, moderation relies on the reports you send us — please use the report button.
How we use it
- To create your account and sign you in.
- To match you with other people and connect calls.
- To deliver messages and ring you for incoming calls.
- To enforce blocks and investigate reports, and to suspend accounts that break the rules.
- To keep the service secure, available and free of abuse.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.
Who we share it with
We share personal data only with service providers who help us run Crackleboom, and only as much as they need:
- Google Cloud Platform — hosting, database storage and encrypted backups.
- Google Sign-In — only if you choose to sign in with Google.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging — delivery of incoming-call notifications to Android devices.
We may also disclose data where we are legally required to, or where it is necessary to protect someone's safety.
How long we keep it
Account details, contacts and messages are kept while your account exists, and are removed when you delete it. Technical logs are kept for a short operational period, and encrypted backups are overwritten on their rotation schedule within 30 days. We keep a de-identified record of safety reports — the reason and the time, with no link back to the accounts involved — so we can handle abuse complaints.
Your choices and rights
- Block anyone. Block a contact from your Contacts list, or report and block someone during a call. A block is permanent: you will never be matched with that person again, and neither of you can call or message the other.
- Access, correct or delete your data. Email contact@data-clerk.com and we will action the request.
- Delete your account. See below.
Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR, including the right to object to processing, to request a portable copy of your data, and to complain to your local data protection authority.
Deleting your account
Sign in and open Account & rules, then choose Delete my account. If you can't sign in, email contact@data-clerk.com from the address on your account. Deleting removes your profile, contacts, messages and push tokens; safety reports are retained in the de-identified form described above. Full detail is on the account deletion page.
Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit with TLS, passwords are stored as bcrypt hashes, and backups are encrypted at rest. No service can promise perfect security, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we will let you know in the app.
